the dark face
// the terminal that dissolves
One book, two faces. Zo remembers, 0z dissolves. This is the dark face — a terminal that boots, runs the engine, and lets the static come for you when the reading is done.
Three acts: ZAZA LAND, where you choose an orb in the dark; SHANJU, where the engine speaks back through green phosphor; and VOID READER, where the words dissolve into the noise that was always underneath.
You give it your name and a date. The engine — same as Zo, same as the others — casts a reading from the letters and digits. The terminal renders it as if it were a transmission from somewhere older than the screen.
No account. No memory. No tracking. Each session boots clean.
